Many thousands have come from the newer European Union countries. Unfortunately it is not always a good experience. You many have been promised high pay, compared to pay at home, but find that you have been cheated. You might find that you can’t live on that because costs are much higher. You might find that the job offered does not exist – or does not last long – and then what do you do? How much will the State support you if you are ill or lose your job?

Aim and content
This course is designed for people considering relocating to Britain. It will give them a chance to understand the UK working culture and expectations, begin their own investigations into work opportunities, and review whether or not relocation is for them.
Students
This is for adults with Intermediate level skills in English who will be able to work in the language. The focus of the course is to enable the discovery process with some support for language improvement.
Duration and Intensity
These courses are one or two weeks long with 3 hours per day support from the tutor on language, culture or researching information.
